“…We’re also approaching the deer marauding season, not that it’s not year round. But it’s always worse in the fall and winter. In another month be sure you have trunk protectors in place to protect against horn damage and, later on, frost checking. In the meantime there’s a new product out you may want to try. It’s called Plantskydd and it’s made from bloodmeal and has proven to be the most effective deer repellent so far. I put some Arborivate out where the deer go every night and they haven’t touched ’em. The product has been extensively tested in Europe and Canada with great results.”
